Ones to Watch 2023

For the annual talent issue, 15 of the most promising emerging photographers have been selected by BJP’s editors, offering a comprehensive overview of the medium today.

Each year, Ones to Watch takes the pulse of the contemporary photography circuit, assessing work about the most pressing social, political and aesthetic topics occupying the next generation of image-makers.

Among the themes explored are identity, body and form, gender and sexuality, and the reshaping of historical narratives. Our talents this year hail from the UK, Poland, Iran, Ecuador, USA, India, Egypt, Ukraine and beyond.
